01 — Full Account Deletion

Deleting your account inside PrayerNexus

The fastest way to delete your account and cloud-stored data is directly inside PrayerNexus. You must be signed in to your account to complete this flow. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

   Open PrayerNexus and tap your Profile icon.

   Tap Settings to open the app settings screen.

   Scroll down to the Account section and tap Delete My Account.

   A first warning dialog will appear explaining that this action is permanent. Read it carefully, then tap Continue to proceed.

   A second confirmation dialog will appear. To confirm you understand this is permanent, type exactly:
   DELETE Type this word exactly, in capital letters

   Tap Yes, Delete My Account. Your cloud account and its data will be removed and you will be signed out.

What gets deleted from the server

Completing deletion removes your cloud account identity and all server-side data tied to that account — including your authentication record, prayer group memberships, prayer requests shared to the cloud, and any account preferences stored on our servers.

What stays on your device

After cloud account deletion, data stored locally on your device may remain — including prayer lists, notes, and other content saved offline. This local data is not automatically removed by the account deletion flow. See Section 02 for how to clear it.

02 — Local Device Data

Removing data stored on your device

PrayerNexus may store prayer lists, drafts, cached content, and settings locally on your Android device. This local data is separate from your cloud account and is not automatically removed when you delete your account.

Clear app storage on Android

   Open your device Settings app.

   Go to Apps (sometimes shown as Applications or App management) and find PrayerNexus.

   Tap Storage or Storage & cache.

   Tap Clear storage to remove all local app data, and/or Clear cache to remove temporary files. This cannot be undone.

Alternatively, uninstalling PrayerNexus from your device will also remove all locally stored app data.

03 — Subscriptions

PrayerNexus subscription & billing

Deleting your PrayerNexus account does not automatically cancel your subscription. If you have an active subscription purchased through Google Play, billing continues independently of whether the app is installed or your account is active.

To cancel your PrayerNexus subscription, you must do so through Google Play:

   Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.

   Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner, then tap Payments & subscriptions.

   Find PrayerNexus in your active subscriptions and tap Cancel subscription.

04 — Data Retention

What happens to your data after deletion

When you complete in-app account deletion, your cloud account identity and the server-side data associated with it are removed as part of the deletion process — including your authentication record, prayer group memberships, and cloud-stored prayer data.

A limited amount of information may persist temporarily in system backups, server logs, or support records as part of routine technical operations. This residual data is not used to identify or contact you, and is not shared with third parties. It is cleared in the ordinary course of operations.

05 — Support

Can't complete in-app deletion?

If you cannot complete account deletion from within PrayerNexus — for example, because you have lost access to your sign-in method or are experiencing a technical issue — please reach out and we will assist you manually. Your data removal request matters to us.
